The Opposite of Procrastination

The opposition of procrastination might not be concentration but confidence.

When people lack of self confidence to overcome some tasks, they start to procrastinate, in order to escape from the obstacles. Lacking of confidence hinders oneself to take the challenge and would rather choose another way out. They may be under pressure for doing certain tasks. And thus, they are tempted to work on other less important tasks, which they might not have any motives to work at the other time. They choose a lesser evil in order to alleviate the internal stress produced, which a possible reason can be from self-doubting whether the challenge can be overcome or not.

Some would suggest environmental settings like moving to more quiet place and minimizing distractions help to avoid procrastination. However, the main reason for lacking concentration may be due to something more internal rather than the external factors. If this is your case, you might consider taking a look at the following advice. 

While environment might help, start reassure your motive and enthusiasm. Encourage yourself, break down the work and give yourself minor goals to achieve. Give yourself a little rests. Then try to keep yourself concentrated by all means. Forced work will never be better than the work with your self motivation. But a little enforcement may be needed to kick start your internal engine. Once you have broken through that tiny little entrance you will be able to dive and move on more naturally. Just a few more centimeters to go and things can be done much more easier with your prepared psychological manner.

This is a battle within you. So be strong mentally and do not lose any confidence and make any more excuses. Start your work, and know that getting start will never be too late than fearing to start any.

裝潢秘技輯錄

裝水喉要用銅喉, 不要鐵喉, 熱水冷水都是。

裝煤氣喉因化學原理要用特製鐵喉, 不能用銅喉。如果是用煤氣熱水爐, 就要搵煤氣公司整。

用煤氣熱水爐拆要找煤氣公司, 清拆費$165公價, 安裝費一般無特別改位公價$475, 如煤氣公司check到有漏氣, 要換喉, 可在牆外裝喉, 煤氣公司搭棚, $6100, 或在室內牆身"作"一條坑, 由浴室過到廚房, 唔洗搭棚, 再找裝修師傅補坑, 又或者室內裝明喉, 醜D。在室外整, 要在浴室鑽個洞出外, 再在廚房牆身鑽個洞入番屋。條喉會按長度收費, 由地腳線過定由天花過要注意。

條煤氣喉可經抽油煙機入家, 明喉不"作"牆落灶位, 煤氣喉位在灶頭下收埋, 灶頭2個爐位中間開`洞上番來。

找不同公司整櫃, 整裝修, 約時間度位, 不要在家中還有裝修工人時約時間, 大家都識整會爭飯碗embarrassing, 要約在放工晚點的時間。

等工人搭左棚整好鑽洞整炕的工夫, 再找煤氣公司裝喉, 唔好令煤氣師傅等工人整好, 佢先再有得整, 煤氣公司裝喉裝熱水爐大約要半日時間。

櫃門有分敞門定拉出的門, 向上向左拉, 中間有幾多層, 是否有活動層板, 留意本身家居的陣位。

同事話電插頭自己買左面板, 叫師傅安, 都要$30一個, 好貴。裝修師傅話加一個蘇位$450, 改面板一個$100, 仲貴。

家中搭棚, 裝修市頭婆話$3500是怕蝕本的價, 一般要$4800喎。聽住先。煤氣公司$6100。

個窗新整保留, 搭棚要搵人睇住, 費是整壞又sai錢。

裝修師傅話水喉有漏水, 會界左佢, 但唔會拆。

第日水喉裝明喉, 有咩漏水都易整D。煤氣喉係屋內的部分就整入牆, 無咁危險。

床褥保留的話, 整床要度床褥尺寸, 長闊高。 要預起碼4星期、二個月整。

電視櫃, 書桌等要留意埋開電線位, 插座位的位置, 櫃後有需要要開洞, 前面櫃筒就要短番D去就位。

要尊重使用者的意見, 和自己的意見作出平衡, 以和為貴。要記得自己也有很多盲點, 接受意見使情況更完整, 不後悔。

電腦影音櫃位一般要有24吋左右長度, 放機器。

煤氣爐位, 張枱要起碼深23吋, 先放到19寸深的煤氣爐, 因為前後要預2-3吋位受力。

吊櫃位置要開夠高, 唔好埳頭。敞門可防止埳頭的危險。拉開的門, 要留意上下拉、定左右拉, 單邊門的話, 較位係左定右會令開門方便。

床下放膠箱, 要留意膠箱最高的高度, 先訂床。

得閑(?!......)要諗下鑽洞洞位鑽邊, 掛架掛邊度, 幾高咩位。

櫃有腳可方便清潔。櫃不上到天花, 留幾寸位, 可增加空間感。

角櫃空間唔正方, 要想清楚放什麼作決定是否真的要角櫃, 不要單追求美感。

上磚要留意紋理。有聽過有人, 選擇現場睇住師傅一塊塊磚鋪上去, 因為是大理石紋, 所以特別要求留意紋方向, 磚紋靚D放中央, 無禁令放邊。此決定視符個人要求。

上磚用黑英泥。掃口用白英泥, 或掃口粉。



下雨天, 打風天, 記得關好窗, 同仔細留意有沒有漏水。

牆外喉的係屋外牆身的開洞位可自己塗一D防漏膜, 好似白膠漿咁, 保護住防止sum水。大面積d唔怕。上下左右都塗。

洗衣機有入水喉、出水喉、同開關水制。出水喉要多d空間, 因為佢會好勁咁擺擺下。



地下開始上磚就可預備定牆紙。牆紙包送上門。牆紙要揀厚D既紙, 唔好有發霉。

上牆磚用野敲下聽下D聲實唔實。

上油漆的步驟：壹、剷底；貳、油防潮底漆；叄、批灰；肆、打磨整平滑，清潔；伍、油啞白底漆；陸、油面油。

整牆，防潮底漆用油司拿。批灰可加白膠漿。

What is ARP?

Address Resolution Protocol - which stores the mapping of IP address to physical MAC address.

E.g.




What is dynamic type and static type?

Static type - you hard-coded the rule somewhere.

Dynamic type - the OS automatically find the rules for you when start-up.


Where does the table store?

ARP table stores in RAM in windows. So it clears and updates again after reboot.


Where does the static type rule store in windows?

Use netsh command in windows (remember to run as administrator) to figure it out yourself. ;)


How to clear the static ARP entry?

Run netsh interface ipv4 reset  (remember to run as administrator).
